9 months

Caroline is 9 1/2 months now and is very active! She is crawling like an inch worm and pulling up to her knees and pulling up to a stand. She is enjoying finger foods, puffs, avacado, banana, bread, cheese, and will continue with more. At her 9 month check up she was 18 lbs 14 oz and 29.5 in long. The doctor said she looks great! She is such a happy baby giggling all the time. She says dada and mama but not consistently yet, and she mumbles as if she is adding to the conversation. :)

First Halloween

Caroline was a butterfly for Halloween this year, thankfully it was cold out because her costume was warm! We went Trick or Treating with our friends and their 4 year old Colby and little girl Rylie. I can't wait until next year when she's running to the houses!

The Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the pumpkin patch. Caroline loved the cool weather and looking at all the kids running around.

8 months

Caroline is 8 1/2 months now and is very active! She is belly crawling to get anywhere she can. She somehow knows all the things she shouldn't have and heads straight for them.

She is back on soy, no more Alimentum, YAY! She also is completely off of prevacid. She is eating well and loves meal time :) Today she had her first 3rd foods dinner and did great. She has also had cheerios, bananas, and a little tortilla. She loves the puffs that melt in her mouth. Meal time is getting messier (I am learning to deal with it) and I am sure it will only get worse as the foods progress to more finger foods.

Today she pulled up on her crib during nap time and stood up!! I was watching her on the monitor and couldn't believe it.

Aubrey's Birthday Party

Caroline went to her first birthday party today. She was oooed and ahhed over. She couldn't run around or play but I think she had fun anyways. It was for her friend Aubrey Kate. I can't believe she's two! Happy Birthday!

Aubrey getting ready to blow out her candles.

Grandparent's Day

We had my parents over for Brunch on Sunday to celebrate Grandparents Day. They are pros since Little C is their 10th one!! We had a great time visiting and Caroline let us know how she felt too. She talked up a storm!

7 months

Caroline is 7 months now and going strong! She isn't crawling but rolls around to get what she wants and will turn while on her tummy. Jill says don't rush the crawling :) She has had her first dose of the flu shot and while at the doctor he checked her over. He said she's looking great. She giggled and played for him. He says we can start mixing soy formula with her alimentum formula! YAY!! Also, he said when we finish this round of prevacid she should not need it any more. That would be great.

She's talking up a storm saying, bbubububu, and mamamama. She really likes to be loud. Kroger is fun when she's finding her voice.

The Rowe's

Bradley's brother and his family came to visit us during the Labor Day holiday. We had so much fun spending time together. The girls went swimming and fished. Jason and Bradley cleaned the whole garage!! It's AWESOME!

Caroline's Favorite Uncle!!

We think it's the dimples, she laughed and smiled at him all weekend!

Catching the big one! Love that Mia still has a dress and a big hair bow. My kind of fishing! :)

6 months

Wow!! It's been 6 months, it has flown by! We went to the doctor for her check up and shots. She is 14 lbs 15oz and 26.5 inches. Still long and skinny. Doctor said she looks great. She giggled at him while he was checking her out. Such a difference from the 2 month check up where she screamed the whole time!!
July was an awesome month, Caroline was so happy and laughing. She coos and ahhs and is at such a fun stage. The cereal was going well along with all the veggies. She would open her mouth like a little bird and then "ummm" once the food was in her mouth. She can put both of her feet in her mouth, which she does quite often, they are an easily accesible toy!
We started Kindermusik, it's for young children and they have different age groups. We dance around and sing songs. She loves to look at the other babies.
We have her playroom pretty much set up. Our friend Lisa spoiled Caroline and bought her a Princess TV for the room. She watches Baby Einstein and rolls around putting all of her toys in her mouth. She will sit up with help, hopefully by the end of the month she will be sitting on her own.
We have recently had a minor set back with the food, she vomits when she sees it! (not fun) so we haven't tried any in the past week. We went to the doctor today and he suggested to try a vegetable so we will see!

Family and Friends

Erin (Godmother), Aubrey and Caroline
Aunt Michelle
Cousin Linden

Friend Rylie

We have had a busy summer. Play dates and lunch dates have been our main outtings, with a few shopping trips thrown in there :)

Father's Day

Bradley had a great first Father's Day. As you can see he had wrist surgery, nothing major, so he was able to relax and lay in bed for a few days. What every Daddy needs :)
Granddaddy was enjoying little Caroline too, she always gives him a big smile.

4th of July

For Caroline's First 4th of July we went to my parents house to see friends and family. Bradley's mom was here to join in the fun. We opted out of the fireworks because I thought they would be way too loud. Hopefully next year we will go watch them.

My first taste of cereal

The doctor said we could start Caroline on cereal, but just to make it very runny. So we put the high chair together, got the spoons and bowls out from the pantry to wash and below is how it went.

"oohh this is a cool new chair, I kind of like it. What are we getting ready for? Why does dad have the camera? I better hold on to this tray."
First bite "hmmm that's different!"

Second bite "what happen to that liquid in the bottle?"

Third bite "OK enough of this!! Get me out of this crazy chair!"

4 months old!

Can you believe it? It's already been 4 months!! I can't. We had her 4 month check up and she was 12 lbs 14 oz, and 25 inches long, basically she's a long skinny girl. The doctor said she looks "perfect," which we were very happy to hear!
She is changing daily. The past week she has really been laughing, cooing, drooling, and making the 'aa-goo' sound, and... she rolled over!!! She is putting everything she can in her mouth. Her hands, my hands, her dress, her toys, she holds my hands while I put the bottle in her mouth, and tonight during bath time she was looking at her feet like "how do I get those in my mouth" :) She has also begun to spend a little time each day in her jumper. Each time she seems to like it a little more. She looks at the face on the sun with awww, and today she started to try and bounce with her feet. Each day is so much fun.
For those of you who know her well, she has been quite fussy (she had colic and reflux). She is still kind of fussy, but her happiness is beginning to out shine the fussiness!!
I am so excited that it is summer and to be spending so much time with her. Our plans for the summer include playing, swimming, shopping, and getting a solid night sleep. :)

Little Swimmer

It was so fitting that Caroline have her first venture in the pool on Memorial Day. We lathered her up in baby sunscreen, put on her swimmer diaper (that was too big), put on her bikini (because every 3 month old needs one!) and we were ready. The pool temp was about 85 which to us seemed kind of cold, but she loved it. Here are a few pictures of her and Daddy swimming.
